The Wairere Boulders, near Horeke - the ONLY fluted basalt boulders in the WORLD!! And the historical mission house at Mangungu, where many Maori chiefs gathered for a meeting with the settlers.
Whangerai Falls and somewhere else
The amazing public toilets at Kawakawa, designed by internationally renowned artist, ecologist and architect, Friedensreich Hundertwasser. I added my own shade of brown to that particular toilet on the right.
There, I also picked up some 2nd hand tapes. As a result, I am now very fond of Mendelssohn's 4th and 5th symphonies and am completely in love with Chopin!
The lovely Ruakaka beach
